Media corporations are private institutions. Some may actually give free political advertising, but I kind of doubt it. Either way they are getting something back in the end I am sure.
Media was once created as a political watch dog… So back like 60 years ago when there wasn’t such a filthy divide there probably was free advertising and air time.

Don’t worry. Let one of our Presidential candidates say the wrong thing and they get plenty of free advertising from media as in “Another One Bites the Dust.” Right now Senators Clinton and Obama around 56 million and Sen. John McCain has to work? Well, they have the debates which front runners dodge until “crunch time.” Media is watching, waiting, making money and they are not into freebies. Same as candidates.

Hell yes. Its the only way we are going to get money out of politics. I think Americans have paid the bill in blood so we can have a free press, its time for the press to pay Americans by giving the country back to all the people, not just the rich people.

No, they are a business and are entitled to make a profit. I think the rates are probably too high.
